IDIOMS ~ A Form of Figurative Language

IDIOMS ~  A Form of Figurative Language

What is an Idiom?   An idiom refers to a set expression or a phrase that is not meant to be taken literally.

My students were having a bit of trouble learning about idioms, so I created these puzzles to help with the meaning and a picture to show what that idiom might look like.

There are 3 parts to each puzzle (the figurative meaning, literal meaning, and picture for the idiom).  I found this visual to be very helpful to my students.
