Christmas Syllable Sorting Activity for 1st and 2nd Grade – Phonics Center
Description
This Christmas Syllable Sorting Activity is a fun way for 1st and 2nd graders to practice identifying and sorting words by syllables. Students will look at the pictures or read the words on the ornaments and sort them by the number of syllables, adding a festive touch to phonics practice.
After sorting, students will complete the recording sheet by coloring the ornaments to show how many syllables are in each word. This holiday-themed phonics resource is easy to prepare and perfect for literacy centers, small groups, or independent practice.
