I’m so glad you found my little corner of the internet. This site was created by a seasoned educator with a passion for teaching and learning. I’m in my 32nd year of teaching and hold a degree from Morehead State University, as well as a master’s from Wright State University. Over the years, I’ve taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, Title 1 Reading, and, of course, Second Grade.
My teaching style is hands-on and dynamic, encouraging students to actively engage with their learning rather than sitting passively. I strive to make education enjoyable and meaningful, and the resources I share here have been tested in my own classroom to ensure they’re just right for your learners.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to two amazing adult children, ages 22 and 26, and this past summer, my husband and I became grandparents for the first time! Our grandson is absolutely adorable, and we are completely smitten.
We’re also a huge sports family. Now that we’re empty nesters, my husband and I love traveling to cheer on our favorite teams: the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and Columbus Blue Jackets. One of our most memorable adventures was in 2022, when we attended all of the Bengals playoff games—and even the SUPER BOWL! It was such a fun and unforgettable experience.
