Description
These summer color by code math headbands give your K–1 students a fun, hands-on way to practice addition and subtraction facts to 10 — right at the end of the year! Each headband features a no-prep color-by-code design that students solve, color, cut, and wear. Perfect for a summer celebration, last week of school, or any end-of-year party day.
This resource includes six different headband designs — a palm tree beach scene, a crab with a beach ball, popsicles, a pineapple, a sand castle, and a watermelon. Each design uses a unique color key so students solve math facts to discover which color goes where. Because every headband uses addition and subtraction within 10, the skill practice feels totally engaging while students think they’re just having fun.
Also included are two sets of summer stamp decorations — one in black and white for coloring, one in pre-colored. Students can cut out and glue the stamps onto their sentence strip for extra flair. Best of all, answer keys are included for all six designs, so checking work is quick and easy.
To assemble, students print on cardstock, color according to the code, cut out their headband, and glue it to the front of a sentence strip. Then you staple to fit — and you have an adorable, math-packed wearable craft ready to go!
These summer color by code math headbands work great for end-of-year parties, summer school kickoffs, summer transitions, and early finisher activities. They also make a memorable keepsake for students to take home. Teachers love how simple prep is — just print and hand out. Students love wearing their work!
