Make phonics fun and meaningful this back-to-school season with this August Rhyming Words Phonics Center for 1st and 2nd grade. This hands-on activity helps students practice rhyming, phonemic awareness, and vocabulary—all through picture-based matching!
Students will look at each picture and find all the rhyming word matches. Then, they’ll complete the recording sheet by coloring the rhyming words in each row. It’s a fun, independent way to reinforce essential early reading skills.
