Description
Are you looking for a FUN way for your child or students to learn about healthy habits with parents or caregivers? I have you covered with this fun way to learn and it was made for elementary students!
How to use this download:
This is designed to help and encourage students to review reading skills while learning about how to stay healthy to prevent the spread of a virus. This resource is FREE to help parents who are having to do home learning due to the school closures. My Terms of Use includes allowing a teacher to share this resource, but please do NOT share any of my PAID resources with more than one classroom. To make this available to any elementary student, you will have to read the clues for non-readers. Older students can read them themselves. A parent or caregiver will have to spend about 20 minutes to prep before the activity.
Students will watch a short video hook to see the problem they are being asked to solve. (Save the world from a virus.) Then, they solve 3 clues that involve reading, comprehension, and solving problems. They will solve a puzzle, read about healthy habits, answer questions, and solve a riddle to find a key. You can do the activity as a family with them or have them do it by themselves. If you are a teacher working remotely, you could have parents set up the room prior to the activity to help you out, but you will have to think about how to tailor it to your needs.
