Description
Make learning long vowel sounds fun with this Long Vowel Sounds Pumpkin Sort activity for 1st and 2nd graders! Students will look at each pumpkin card, say the word, and listen for the long vowel sound. Then, they’ll sort the pumpkins into wagons based on their vowel sounds. Perfect for centers, small groups, or independent practice, this seasonal activity adds a hands-on approach to phonics learning.
After sorting, students will complete the recording sheets by coloring the pictures that match each long vowel sound. This print-and-go phonics activity is easy to set up and helps reinforce long vowel recognition in an engaging way. A great resource for building phonics skills in your classroom!
