Making 10 Math Center – Give your students hands-on practice with making ten using this fun and interactive math center! Designed for first and second grade, this engaging activity helps students master addition combinations that make 10 using ten frames, counters, and equations.

Students will:

  • Use counters or a dry erase marker to fill in the ten frames and make 10.
  • Write the matching addition equation.
  • Complete the recording sheet using different colors to fill in the ten frames, then write the equation again for added practice and visual learning.

This center is perfect for math rotations, small group instruction, or early finishers. It’s easy to prep, simple to use, and great for building number sense, fact fluency, and a strong foundation for addition strategies.
