Spring Equal Parts Earth Day Math Center
Description
Celebrate Earth Day with this engaging Spring Equal Parts Math Center for 1st and 2nd grade! In this Earth-themed geometry activity, students will sort shape cards into two categories—equal parts and not equal parts—and feed them to friendly trash can characters for sorting fun.
Students will then complete the recording sheet by drawing dividing lines on each shape and identifying whether the shapes are divided equally. This hands-on activity reinforces foundational geometry concepts while promoting visual reasoning in a springtime setting.
