Description
These 2nd grade fill the school box challenge activities turn skill practice into an exciting game. Students complete six tasks to earn school supplies. They cut and glue each supply into their own School Box tracking sheet until the box is full.
Teachers love the simple setup. Print the tracking pages and the six activities. Students can work in any order. As they finish each task correctly, they add the matching supply to their box. When all six supplies are glued in, they have completed the challenge and earned their reward.
The six tasks include an emotion word search, an addition secret message with sums to 12, a subtraction color by code, a back to school crossword puzzle, a short vowel word ladder, and a magic e word unscramble. Every activity connects to the school supplies theme so the experience feels cohesive and fun.
This packet also includes two versions of emotion picture cards for the word search so you can choose human or dog faces. Full answer keys are provided for every page, making checking fast and easy.
Because the challenge feels like a game, students stay motivated and engaged. Once they fill their School Box, they get to make and wear a colorful “I Filled My School Box” headband. You can also hand out the matching certificates to celebrate their success.
Use these no-prep printables for morning work, early finishers, stations, or sub plans. The escape room style keeps second graders excited while they practice addition, subtraction, phonics, vocabulary, and social emotional skills.
These 2nd grade fill the school box challenge activities make reviewing important skills feel like play instead of work.
