Happy New Year! I’m so excited about the new year and some new blog posts for you! I’m continuing my blog series with teaching videos that you can pull up and easily incorporate into your lessons without having to screen through tons of videos that won’t work for your class! In this post, I’m going to be sharing videos that will be great to use when teaching about homonyms, homophones, and homographs.

Homonyms Videos

BrainPOP Jr. always has a great video I can count on to show my classroom and my students love the characters. There are great examples and explanations of what homonyms are in this video!

This is a great video to show at the beginning of your lesson. The teacher does a great job teaching what multiple-meaning words are and different examples of homonyms.

Homophone Videos

The video below is a cute song that introduces students to different homophones and uses great words and visuals to capture your students’ attention.

If you don’t have this book in your library, don’t fear because a lovely elementary teacher will read this aloud to your students. Before she begins reading, she gives a quick mini lesson on homophones for your students so they know what they are learning about before listening to the story.

Homograph Videos

These two videos below to a great job teaching about homographs. After watching the first video, your students will love the song in the second video and will singing along to the tune as well! A great review of what homographs are!
